Statue of Unity: A waste of Money or Valued Possession?

A lot of political, social and phenomenal debates circulating across the country revolving around the justification to build the Statue of Unity in the state of Gujarat. Letting a whole lot of bush to settle down for a moment, lets first have a look at the ideological prospect to this debate. I have recently been on a vacation to the Land of Renaissance and the Roman empire. With a pack full of learning and encounters, something i can hysterically mention to similarise with the base of this debate. Even after hosting itself as a land of Sculpture and Colossal, Italy has never stopped the relay of building them even at the present. They dont leverage the thought of expenses (also because they dont lack funds and capitals) at the cost of feeding poor people (also because they hardly have any). But keeping all the rationality aside, this sets a perfect example of maintaining a balance between uplifting the rural population and working simultaneously on development and tourism.

The whole set of conventional debate rotates primarily on the need to erect up the statue instead of feeding the poor and meeting expense of the Rural regions. Before we get deep into the intellectual part of it, lets reorganize some facts regarding the Statue of Unity. 3000 workers were deployed, 250 engineers were put to action and Brain storming. Its the tallest statue in the world with an elevation of 182 meters. Now getting back to the base of this debate... If political parties claim to not have build the statue on Rural upliftment grounds, lets ask one simple question... Who were these 3000 workers? Were they some rich brats with millions of dollars in their bank account? Or were they superiorly uplifted in the society with a good and healthy living? They all belong to the same Rural class who has been fed, paid for themselves and their family. Taking into consideration for a minimum of 3 members in each workers family, this wont be erroneous to say that the Statue of Unity has been feeding at least 9000 people in the Rural area and taking care of their needs. No worker or any report has mentioned any low wage or torture claims by any of the workers and they live with pride for being a part of erecting this Colossal statue. Looking at a wider perspective, the largest statue in the world is now apprehensively going to attract a lot of tourists across the globe which will absolutely bring a major revenue which could be utilized to meet the expenses of the rural class people laying below poverty line. This would require a lot of maintenance, nearby clearances and the Rural people would constantly be deployed to work which would be a continual earning source for a bulk of Rural population in that area. We should rather be proud of having such a Statue in our country representing one of the most prominent leaders and freedom fighters of the country and i believe Colossals should be built for other prominent Freedom Fighters too in different states which could be a stimuli from the Western culture to remember and preserve the remembrance of our struggle and personnel leading to our Freedom. In the recent reports from NASA, we should rather be proud to have this statue visible from Space too rather than politicizing the whole matter which has always left an amateurish mark on our culture and political system.

Lets get one fact crystal clear. Sacrificing developments in a country to uplift the Rural population is not at all a legitimate idea or behavior. Upliftment of Rural society should always be one of the priorities but Development and globalization is the new fish in the trend.Without it, no country can ever move towards a prosperous culture or heritage. Like always, i have no interest in Politics or any other political party (before someone claims me to be a BJP/ Congress/AAP) supporter. I am always obsessed with my Motherland and something good happening here always exhilarates me to the bottom of my soul! Feeling for the rural development and supporting it is truly exemplary and everyone blaming the Statue of Unity should instead keep working themselves in Silence for the Rural development and feel the happiness from inside. Talking of funds, i dont think people speaking against the Statue of Unity lack funds in their party. Development and tourism in a country is the necessity to generate revenue, catalyze GDP and using that revenue for welfare of Rural people. Under a nutshell, the Statue of Unity is a great work and hats off to all 3000 workers, 250 engineers, Mr. Ram Sutar and L&T.

Kerala Floods- Could such extent be avoided?

Gods own country has always been the spotlight of the natural beauty and exquisite heritage that the country beholds at an universal juncture. Such massive calamity could not even gyrate as the worst nightmare over centuries. The Monsoon has really hit hard this time and God seemed to not have been merciful with its own country. Natural calamities can never be avoided nor can be paused or terminated but there adverse effects is something that could be filtered and sorted out to some real extent by enacting proper amendments and measures towards the fillers that get affected due to natural calamities.

Again the diaspora between the Government and humans have been questioned and it stands out to be a valid canvass that needs to be addressed! We have had the same opinions during Mumbai and Haryana floods and no proper drainage system being established to diminish the harsh effects of these natural calamities. Similar question evolves in this case too specially when the Gadgil committee of the Western Ghats has clearly presented a propaganda of warning Kerala of the major floods coming on its way. The US Embassy and UAE embassy in India has also issued warning reports in their propaganda for the Kerala floods but no response was being taken into consideration. The Jeopardy continued for some real time and post 3 days 35 dams in Kerala has been opened by when the casualties has been peak high already and the aftermath was in succession. I have no much reasons to blame Kerala for the Government's casual behaviour since Kerala is one of the most Literate and peaceful states in the country, but this time the casualty was severe with more than 375 people losing their lives and almost lacs losing their properties and homage. But this is something which could be considered as a wake up call and a warning for the entire country to take all reports of possible natural calamities too seriously. Couldn't the dams be opened post warnings from the Gadgil committee? Couldn't relocation process of citizens be planned accordingly prior to the havoc? Couldn't the warnings be delivered at a grander level to unfurl awareness on a larger scale and citizens could plan their steps? Couldn't suitable barrigates be built at the Ecologically Sensitive zones when the warnings were delivered? These warnings are meant to be seriously heard and enacted too and i find no reason of the Government to ignore these upcoming calamity. We have been at the age of Technology transformation and talking about AI and robotics and VR to be in place and Kerala being the most literate state should be ahead in these terms and should be making the most use of these technological innovation for ensuring safety of citizens and deceasing the harsh effects of natural calamity. We keep talking about science taking a leap, warning of professionals losing jobs due to AI, rigorous technological advancement with time but if we cant use the technological advancement and the latest tool to consider upcoming calamities seriously and save peoples life, where does these come in action then?

This should be an exemplar to all regulatory authorities to work on gathering information around upcoming natural calamities quite seriously and take decisive steps to avoid its harsh effects. When we talk about Artificial Intelligence, we should also look into the socio-economic factors too and the welfare of the citizens and try to inculcate the use of AI more on saving lives in every way possible. Wishing all Keralites a speedy recovery and hope enough strength is being mustered among the citizens to get over the massive tremor they have been into and hope the authorities will now wake up to a new day with new thoughts and renovations.

"Being Judgemental" is not wrong, its crucial!

Post witnessing mass phenomenon worldwide specially in India, its a lofty hour to make ourselves open to judge and being judged. We often come across various manifestations where we are held culpable for judging people without knowing about their background and times they are going through! As a matter of fact, i would rather hardly find an earthling who would not be dwindling around a series of rough and tough phases and boldly fighting against those for a better survival.

Excuses are many for all the faulty acts that people do. A bunch go ahead to complain that their family was not supportive wherein some move an extra mile to say some visions they have seen which has revamped their lives to a complete turn. But to be blunt, these are just too lame to subtle it as an excuse to be faulty and commit faulty acts both unethically and illegally. Our prime mindset and nature completely revolves around the social circle we are into. In our daily lives we meet several people with different mindset and field of vision. its our core responsibility to filter people whose views and acts are not sensible enough to be justified. A recent research with the Telegraph and Oxfordshire research community has gone to prove that most rapists have been brainwashed against women of being physically weak which gives men the right to utilize them as a sex material! They have been imbibed a sort of anger into the brains of these people against women leading to gender discrimination and awful mentality. They have been, since their childhood has been constantly fed into their brains to not respect women and look down to their physicality. The same goes with the terrorists giving rise to mass murders in the name of religion and faith. No person is a born offender, but their social circle and people around them do fabricate a heinous environment which makes their senses shut towards the right path. We often see people having a negative thought over judging but people have now tend to ignore the fact that to analyse a human its crucial to know the person and have a perception about a person which will anyways lead to judging. Whats wrong in having a perception about a particular person? Why should we not have a perception to decide if a person is worthy to be in our circle and if the person could be a potential offender? Further more its also salient to remove negativity from life. I always believe in optimism, both in your hard and good times. There are people who would reluctantly take advantage of the hard times and make us feel even more negative. What fruitful would it be to have such people in our circle?

I understand people will say that most of them today have this nature and if we start judging people then it would be laborious to have a social circle. But on the other hand, we are a part of that community too. We can always have a trust on ourselves if we do the right act and get the right knowledge. For every 100 people we meet, there would be one guiding us to the right path and we should assimilate valuing that person and learn sincerely. Individualism is one big thing in life which every person should have and not alter that without judging others on their views and field of opinion! We should first learn and make a thumb rule in life to know whats correct and whats incorrect and then decide on the other persons nature and make a way out. Firstly i would say we should be our own biggest judge and judge our-self every time based on the correct and incorrect acts and logic. We should be always prepared to be judged and not take any step back to judge others. Not to get too much into the other person, but to realize if that person is worth being in our circle for a better living and positivism! Judge.... Judge....and Judge!!!!!!

Raid Review

With an ongoing plethora of the intense movies Ajay Devgan has been acting in, another cinema has hit the theatres on 16th March, 2018 which has again embarked and sparkled an intense thriller with the man himself and the alure acting by Illeana D'Cruz. This movie has set the locus to another height of success where the audience did not even think of repositing their focus for a second and stuck to their seats with popcorns and coldrinks going unnoticed.

Ajay Devgan starrer 'Raid' has again in the epitome genre of bravery documentaries has put forward a fantastic Raid organised by one of the bravest Income Tax officer Mr. Amay Patnaik, in the city of Nawabs, Lucknow. A fearless and stern officer without any consternation has just focussed on his duty and responsibility with all might has eventualised one of the biggest Raids in the country irrespective of multiple interventions from high officials trying to cease the raid, even from the then Prime Minister in 1981, Mrs. Indira Gandhi. The rest is something to be present at the hall and watched which commemorates a bulk of feelings, fear, calmness and a rejuvenating personality of Mr. Patnaik played by Ajay Devgan adds a lot of twist and tales in the cinematography. Dealing with a highly influential Minister being the major coordinator of the Central Government in a state like Lucknow and raiding his house was something which needs some goad. And Mr. Patnaik did this out of his honestly and dedication towards his duty and oath taken while starting his tenure as an officer.

Acting wise too every actor in the movie has subtled a good skillset and has given all their might and litigations to make the scene seem absolutely factual. A must watch movie for a life learning and to educate ourselves with one of the most honest officer with one of the biggest and most successful raid of 420cr from one of the most influential politician in that era. I would rate this movie 9/10.
